How long is this course? This is an ongoing class. We meet twice per week. Each session is 30 minutes long. What will students learn in this course? This session supports students in mastering Algebra I without committing to a full semester. Students can select which classes to attend based on the topics provided. Can I enter this class at any time? Students can join at any time. Be sure to see the topics that will be covered each week. I struggle in math, can I join this class? Absolutely! Remediating students in math is one of my specialties. How is this class structured? I teach this class using a gradual release model: “I do, we do, you do”. -Greetings and Review (5 min) -I do: New instruction (10 min) -We do: Interactive Guided practice (10 min) -You do: Check for understanding ( 5 min) Can I earn credit for this class? Students who complete all of the topics listed below (and their assignments) can submit this documentation and apply for high school credit at their local school. Algebra I is a required class for any high school student. However, it can be completed as early as middle school.
