Description
Class Experience
During this 12-week class, students will cover the first semester of High School Algebra 2. Class time will be spent discussing topics and problems together as a group, with students encouraged to take notes. Both individual and group work will be utilized to reinforce understanding of concepts, and active participation is highly recommended. 1. Develop a comprehensive understanding of algebraic concepts, including polynomials, complex numbers, factoring, polynomial division, polynomial graphs, rational exponents, and radicals. 2. Improve problem-solving skills and proficiency in algebraic computations. 3. Develop the ability to take effective notes during class discussions and lectures. 4. Participate actively in class activities and discussions to reinforce understanding of concepts. 5. Use online resources, such as Khan Academy, to reinforce learning outside of class. 6. Improve time management skills to complete assigned homework and practice problems regularly. 7. Develop the ability to ask questions and seek clarification when needed. 8. Enhance critical thinking skills to apply algebraic concepts to real-world problems and scenarios. 9. Build confidence in math skills and develop a positive attitude toward learning algebra. 10. Prepare for success in future math courses and standardized tests.
For over three years, I have been involved in teaching mathematics and providing tutoring services. As a mathematics teacher, I have a deep understanding of various mathematical concepts and their applications. I specialize in algebra, geometry, calculus, and have a strong ability to explain complex mathematical theories in easy-to-understand terms. I have experience utilizing different teaching methods to cater to students of varying skills and learning styles. Additionally, I am proficient in using various software and tools to enhance the learning experience such as graphing calculus and online educational resources. I am passionate about mathematics and committed to helping my students achieve their academic goals.
Homework is assigned every week in either the form of a PDF worksheet or a Khan Academy assignment. If the homework is in PDF form, learners can submit it to me as an attachment through messages in the form of an image, scan, PDF, or DOC.

To receive a letter grade or a letter of completion, learners are required to complete all assignments, participate in class, and take a cumulative course review test.

This class utilizes Khan Academy and Google Classroom, which are free websites that offer videos and supplementary materials for learners. All communication between the teacher and students is solely conducted through the Outschool platform, and communication on other platforms is disabled. Additional resources, such as YouTube videos, may also be provided to learners as needed.
