This ongoing course will cover Algebra 1 standards. I recommend this course for learners ready for Algebra 1 or who need to brush up on the course before moving to the next subject. If you have a young middle-schooler who is up for it, feel free to enroll them as well. This year-long camp is a great way to learn or support Algebra 1 with confidence and a relational approach. This course meets twice a week. The initial meeting will introduce the standard and allow students to practice. The second meeting will allow students to explore the concept more and better interact (games, activities, etc.). The following topics and much more will be covered throughout the camp. August 9: Solving One and Two Step Equations August 16: Linear Equations August 23: Linear Inequalities August 30: Systems of Linear Equations September 6:Exponential Functions and Sequences September 13: Polynomial Equations and Factoring September 30: Quadratic Functions

Students will improve their understanding of linear equations, linear inequalities, linear systems of equations, polynomial equations, factoring, quadratic functions and equations, and much more.
