With over 20 years of tutoring experience, I bring a wealth of expertise to my classes in high school and middle school math and science. Throughout my career, I have successfully guided students through the complexities of subjects ranging from algebra to biology. As a teacher at a homeschool co-op, I have had the privilege of nurturing students' curiosity and fostering their love for learning in both math and science. My approach emphasizes personalized instruction, hands-on exploration, and real-world applications, ensuring that each student receives the individualized support they need to excel. Whether it's unraveling the mysteries of calculus or conducting exciting experiments in chemistry, I am dedicated to empowering students to reach their full potential and become confident, lifelong learners in the fields of math and science.
Homework Offered
In my Algebra 1 class, I offer optional homework assignments after each session to provide students with additional practice and reinforcement of the concepts covered in class. While completion of homework is not mandatory, it is highly encouraged as it serves as valuable practice for mastering algebraic skills. Homework assignments will be designed to complement the material covered in class and will be tailored to students' individual needs and learning styles. For those students who choose to complete the optional homework, I will provide detailed feedback and grading based on accuracy. This feedback will help students identify areas of strength and areas needing improvement, allowing them to track their progress and focus their study efforts effectively. By offering optional homework with grading for accuracy, I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students can deepen their understanding of algebra at their own pace. I encourage students to take advantage of this opportunity to enhance their learning and achieve mastery in algebraic concepts.

Assessments Offered
In the Algebra 1 Bootcamp course, optional assessments are available for students who wish to receive a grade and formal feedback on their progress. These assessments are designed to evaluate students' understanding of the material covered in class and their ability to apply algebraic concepts to solve problems. Assessments will be completed outside of class time to provide students with flexibility and accommodate their individual schedules. They may include quizzes, tests, projects, or other types of assessments that align with the course objectives and curriculum. Students who opt to take assessments will receive grades based on their performance, along with constructive feedback to help them identify areas of strength and areas for improvement. This feedback is intended to support students' growth and encourage ongoing learning and development in algebra. While assessments are optional, they provide an opportunity for students to demonstrate their mastery of algebraic skills and receive recognition for their hard work and dedication to the course. Whether students choose to participate in assessments or not, they will continue to benefit from engaging lessons, interactive activities, and personalized instruction aimed at enhancing their understanding of algebra.
Grades Offered
In the Algebra 1 Bootcamp course, grades are offered by request but are not a requirement for students to fully engage and benefit from the class. Whether a student chooses to receive a grade or not, they will have equal access to all course materials, instruction, and support. For students who opt to receive a grade, assessments will be available to evaluate their understanding of algebraic concepts and their progress throughout the course. However, these grades will not impact a student's ability to participate in class activities, ask questions, or receive feedback from the instructor. The primary focus of the course is on student learning and growth in algebra. By offering grades as an option rather than a requirement, students have the flexibility to tailor their learning experience to their individual preferences and goals. Those who wish to receive a grade can do so to track their progress and demonstrate their achievement, while others can focus solely on mastering the material without the pressure of formal assessment. Ultimately, my goal as the instructor is to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel empowered to explore and excel in algebra at their own pace, regardless of whether they choose to pursue a grade.
