🌟🌟Is this your first class on Outschool?! If so, use the discount code Mindove20 for $20 off your first class with us!🌟🌟 Looking for a way for your learner to prepare for their upcoming Algebra 1 class? Or, have they already taken Algebra 1 and are looking for a review class before moving on to Geometry or Algebra 2? Well, look no further! This five week flex class will cover key Algebra 1 concepts to make sure learners go in prepared. This class does not have any live meetings, but it's still highly interactive. Learners will be active participants throughout the entire class. We use Nearpod.com for our video classes. Each Monday, a Nearpod link with that week's lesson will be posted in the classroom. Here's how it works: the teacher explains each concept in a video and presents an example. After that, the learner gets a chance to try their own example, which the teacher reviews in the next slide. This back-and-forth process continues for each concept, ensuring that learners have opportunities to practice on their own. Learners will be assigned practice problems weekly for homework in order to consolidate their learning. Learners taking this class should be comfortable solving solving simple algebraic equations (such as 2x-3=9) and multi-step equations (such as 2(x-1)=4x-2). Please see the syllabus below for a breakdown of the lessons we will be covering in this class.
