Class Experience
Algebra 1 is designed to introduce students to the fundamental concepts and techniques of algebra. Through a combination of lectures, discussions, and problem-solving exercises, students will develop their understanding of algebraic principles and learn how to apply them to real-world situations. 1. Develop a foundational understanding of Algebraic concepts and principles. 2. Learn how to solve equations and inequalities using various methods, including substitution and graphing. 3. Acquire skills in graphing linear equations and inequalities, including rate of change and finding the equation of the line. 4. Understand the concept of exponents, including multiplying, dividing, and adding exponential expressions. 5. Gain proficiency in solving quadratic equations by factoring, completing the square, and using the quadratic formula. 6. Learn about functions, including how to identify, evaluate, and graph them. 7. Improve critical thinking and problem-solving skills by practicing and applying mathematical concepts to real-life situations. 8. For over three years, I have been involved in teaching mathematics and providing tutoring services. As a mathematics teacher, I have a deep understanding of various mathematical concepts and their applications. I specialize in algebra, geometry, calculus, and have a strong ability to explain complex mathematical theories in easy-to-understand terms. I have experience utilizing different teaching methods to cater to students of varying skills and learning styles. Additionally, I am proficient in using various software and tools to enhance the learning experience such as graphing calculus and online educational resources. I am passionate about mathematics and committed to helping my students achieve their academic goals.
Homework is assigned every week in either the form of a PDF worksheet or a Khan Academy assignment. If the homework is in PDF form, learners can submit it to me as an attachment through messages in the form of an image, scan, PDF, or DOC.

To receive a letter grade or a letter of completion, learners are required to complete all assignments and take a cumulative course review test.
No live meetings, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
In addition, this course utilizes Khan Academy, an online learning website that is available at no cost. However, all communication and interaction will be conducted exclusively through the Outschool platform.
