Algebra 1 - Full Course (1-On-1 Experience For Entire 2024-2025 School Year)

This class will align with Common Core Standards and can be tailored to meet the readiness level of your individual student.  

I will use the same curriculum and sequencing that I use in my in-person classroom at a public school in Vermont.  

I will cover a wide variety of topics grouped into the following units...
Unit 0 - Pre Algebra Review
Unit 1 - Linear Equations and Inequalities
Unit 2 - Functions and Graphing
Unit 3 - Exponents
Unit 4 - Polynomials
Unit 5 - Radicals
Unit 6 - Factoring
Unit 7 - Quadratics
Unit 8 - Exponentials
Unit 9 - Systems of Equations

In a typical Zoom class, we will spend the first portion doing a warmup to review what we did last class.  We will then typically proceed to a lesson on something new.  Students will have a guided notes sheet that they work through as I teach and model examples.  We will finish by using the remaining class time to do practice problems and start a homework assignment.  Students will finish the assignment outside of class if necessary.
