Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Students will be giving a crash course on the different ways they will encounter the concept of equations in the Algebra Curriculum as outlined by the Common Core Standards. Students will be able to solve simple to complex equations, they will be able to understand and describe equations as functions and they will be able to utilize different methods for solving systems of equations.

This course is meant to give students a small glimpse of the Algebra Curriculum.
Homework will be given following each of the first 3 lessons delivered throughout the week. Each night will vary on the learner, however no homework assignment should exceed 1 hour.

Students are welcome to connect over the internet to work together on assignments outside of class.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Student's grades will be assessed before each class based on their homework from the night before. Students will have an opportunity to ask questions during a live class, then students will complete an assessment for that week's material.
4 hours per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
Please be advised that students will be asked to utilize multiple Google resources in this course including Google JamBoard, Google Docs, and Google Forms. Thank you for your flexibility and please reach out if you have any questions.
