State Symbols and Nicknames: Exploring Alabama's official state bird, flower, and tree, as well as its unique nickname, the "Yellowhammer State." Famous Landmarks and Attractions: Virtual tours and discussions about renowned landmarks like the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park and the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. Cultural Heritage: Delving into Alabama's cultural diversity, including its indigenous heritage and contributions to music, literature, and cuisine. How is the class structured? Introduction (10 minutes): We'll start with an overview of Alabama's key features and introduce the topics we'll cover. Exploration (30 minutes): Through interactive presentations, videos, and virtual tours, we'll dive into the state's geography, history, and culture.
