In this class, students will learn about the life of one of Africa's freedom fighters and global icon, Nelson Mandela. The class will be delivered through a lecture styled presentation with opportunities given for students to ask questions and share their thoughts throughout the lesson. We will learn about his childhood, career and his active involvement with the African National Congress (ANC) and its activities.

We will also discuss the Rivonia Trial which led his imprisonment for 27 years. Students will learn of his dedication to the reconciliation and unification of the people of his country during his Presidency.
