African-American History: The Story of the Amistad

In this one-time class, students will learn about the Amistad slave revolt in 1839. Through a slideshow presentation, we will learn about the rebellion of the captured Africans at sea, their incarceration in the USA, the court case, and how they finally got freedom and returned to their home country. I hold a Bachelors and Masters degrees in Sociology. I love to teach history.
