Class Experience

The Study Skills Course builds greater self-awareness of how each child most effectively learns. Coupled with exposure to the tools to be more efficient and effective in their work, their grades can more accurately represent their intellectual potential.

The study skills teacher will collaborate with regular education teachers on an on-going basis to develop study strategies and design lessons to best meet the academic requirements of the regular classroom. Study Skills is a support class for students taking regular education classes. Emphasis is placed on core classes.

If your child seems lost in class, homework is a battle, or grades are subpar, then don’t wait any longer to set them down a new path. Our individualized tutoring programs are the perfect solution to help your child learn strong study habits. We will tailor a tutoring program to meet your child’s specific needs and help them learn at their pace. We will teach your child study skills that will help them prepare for quizzes and tests and keep up with homework assignments. Our individualized & group tutoring can boost grades — and confidence — to a higher level.

This class will be an ongoing course that collaborates with schools, parents, and students (when relevant) to teach students ongoing skills and confidence. The structure will be typically guided and structured by the student's curriculum and what content they need help on. The structure will typically follow;

5min: Hello Icebreaker
15 min: Review content, new academic skills, questions, and answers.
40 min: Tutoring on school-specific content and/or practicing a new skill (i.e. planning out a schedule) in real-time as it relates to their content.

How will you teach? This will be done with a series of visuals and interactive content - and will also depend upon and be filtered by the students learning styles.

What's your teaching style? Interactive, Fun and Informative.

How much will learners get to interact with you and each other (mention specifics like lecture, games, slides, video clips, discussion)?

Any required experience or knowledge learners need? No experience necessary.
