In this ongoing class, students will learn and improve their advanced gymnastics skills. Students should be able to perform the following skills to join the class: - Handstand Bridge - Fall to a bridge from standing - bridge kick over (backbend kick over) - cartwheel - round off We will work on the following skills in class: Handstand, handstand bridge, handstand bridge stand up, front walkovers, front handsprings, standing backbends, backbend kick over, back walkover, cartwheel, one-armed cartwheel, round off, ariel. I will also work on skills that students are interested in learning or are working on perfecting that are not on this list at the request of my students. We will also work on gaining flexibility in class. Flexibility work will include splits, pike stretch, and backbends. We practice all skills with safety in mind. My teaching style is progressive starting by building a foundation of strength in each skill. This class is learner-directed and will be tailored towards each student's skill level. Below is an outline and description of how each class will look: 0 - 15 min: warm-up and stretch 15 - 40: Skills practice 40 - 45: Cooldown Please provide a safe space to practice gymnastics away from breakables and other hard surfaces. Please provide a gymnastics mat or other soft area to practice gymnastics.

Kaz is a dedicated and passionate gymnastics coach with over a decade of experience. She began her coaching journey in 2009 and took her passion to the next level by opening Coach Kaz Gymnastics in 2012. Over the years, Kaz has expanded her business to online formats to share her love of gymnastics worldwide.
Kaz strives to make every session fun and active while fostering confidence, positive attitudes, and essential personal skills in her students. She believes that gymnastics is more than just a sport; it’s the foundation of human movement, providing the building blocks necessary for development in all sports. The fitness and life skills learned through gymnastics are tremendous, and Kaz is dedicated to showing her students that they can achieve anything they set their minds to with hard work and a positive attitude.
Kaz holds an associate's degree in Sports Exercise and Science from Amarillo College, where she gained hands-on experience teaching both children and adults about fitness and body movement. She furthered her education at West Texas A&M University, earning a degree in Psychology. This academic background provides Kaz with a deep understanding of how the mind and body work together, enhancing her ability to teach new skills effectively.
Kaz has taken numerous courses focused on teaching the foundations of gymnastics. Her commitment to continuing education and practical experience has made her an expert in her field. Kaz loves watching her students grow stronger and more confident with each new skill, knowing they have a solid foundation to build upon.
