Learners will engage in activities designed to contribute to the development of their emotional intelligence, interpersonal relationships, and communication proficiency. They will also advance their computer literacy and technical capabilities through interactive gameplay, preparing them for a technologically driven future.
I am the parent of a gamer and am also part of several Facebook and Discord groups for Adult Gamers. I have been playing Adopt Me for several years and play daily. I LOVE decorating houses and doing glitch builds. I have an extensive inventory of everything from pets to toys, food, and vehicles.
For the best experience, it is recommended that two devices be used for this class. One device for the Outschool Zoom meeting and a second device for Roblox. However, it is possible to use tabs if a second device is not available. Gamers will need a Roblox account and the Roblox app set up before class.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Common Sense Media rates Roblox age 13. This is due to the unmoderated nature of the games as well as the chat feature. Adopt Me is a free game on the Roblox platform that is extremely popular with younger players. I provide a private server so your child will only be playing with other Outschool learners with me as a coach to assist with kind, inclusive and respectful play. Learners need a Roblox account, and the Roblox App. Guardians must provide permission for their enrolled student to share their Roblox player information. Please message me your learner's Roblox username so that I can send them a friend request, before class. We will need to be friends for the duration of this Gaming Club Experience.
