Class experience
In this fun and interactive multi-day course, students will dive into addition. Students will learn to add within 10 using different manipulatives such as blocks, ten-frames, number line, etc. I will be providing handouts weekly which I encourage students to complete for further practice of skills being taught during the course. Students will learn to add within 10 by making amounts, adding with objects, and adding with numbers. Students will identify the missing addends.
I have years of experience teaching math skills in the elementary school. I also have taken many professional development courses to continue my craft in providing effective instruction that helps students achieve goals and become successful learners. More than anything, I am just a person who cares and wants children to feel successful and accomplished.
Homework Offered
Handouts will be provided weekly for further practice at home if you choose to use them. I do encourage practice of skills being taught.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

Dry erase boards are very helpful in practicing math skills. Handouts will be available each week that students can use for practice at home. I may ask students to bring objects for adding. Ten frames and number lines as well as any other handouts will be provided before class to print and bring to class.
