Addition is Fun! Small Group Class for Students with Autism, ADHD, Neurodiverse

Are you looking for a fun way for your child to practice their math skills? Well then this is the class for them! Each week students will do math problems and word problems using a fun theme that will make them want to do math! Addition problems will be a mix of single and double digit problems. With a maximum of 6 students in a class, all students will have a chance to be involved in the class!

Why Is This Class for Students with Autism, ADHD or Neurodiverse
By incorporating personal interests (characters/kid friendly topics) into each lesson, it will allow students to be engaged for the entire 30 minutes. I will also be providing numerous learning options so no matter what kind of learner students are, they will be able to grasp the material. If you child is a visual learner, we will have numerous PowerPoints, charts, graphs and diagrams so they can see all the information. If they are an auditory learner, I was always make sure to explain everything thoroughly so students. Even if your child is a kinesthetic learner, there will be time that we will be moving to practice our math skills. Most importantly this class is a no judgement zone. Every student will feel safe and able to be themselves in this class while they learn and have fun!

Week of July 31: Minecraft
