Together we'll tackle adding fractions, from the basics to the pro moves. After a quick warm-up to solidify our fraction sense, we'll use models and representations to examine what's really going on when two fractions are combined. We'll then use these models to build efficient strategies for adding fractions with like and unlike denominators, and even improper fractions and mixed numbers. Students will leave with links and worksheets for optional further practice.
