We’ll make learning about fractions engaging, upbeat and encouraging! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- C L A S S B R E A K D O W N : ➕Week 1: Important Vocabulary & Simplifying Fractions Students will learn the important vocabulary terms we’ll be using throughout class and will also learn the skill of simplifying fractions. ➕Week 2: Adding Fractions Students will learn and practice the steps for adding fractions with like denominators. ➕Week 3: Subtracting Fractions Students will learn and practice the steps for subtracting fractions with like denominators. ➕Week 4: Adding Mixed Numbers Students will learn and practice the steps for adding mixed numbers with like denominators. ➕Week 5: Subtracting Mixed Numbers Students will learn and practice the steps for subtracting mixed numbers with like denominators. ➕Week 6: Review of Weeks 1-5 Students will show their understanding of adding and subtracting fractions and mixed numbers with like denominators..
