US Grade 9 - 12
Overview The ACT (American College Testing) is a standardized test widely used for college admissions in the United States. The ACT is designed to assess a high school student's readiness for college and is used by many colleges and universities as part of their admissions process. It is: A comprehensive college readiness test that includes a STEM score. - Based on high school curriculum. - An opportunity for students to qualify for scholarships. - An effective tool to help ensure students are placed in the right classes in college. Sections English: Tests grammar and usage skills. Math: Assesses mathematical reasoning and problem-solving abilities. Reading: Evaluates reading comprehension. Science: Measures interpretation, analysis, evaluation, reasoning, and problem-solving skills in the natural sciences. Writing (Optional): Requires students to write an essay. *For this particular class, we will only be covering English and Math sections.* Other sections will be available in the future if requested. We will cover English on Mondays/Tuesdays and Math on Wednesdays/Thursdays. Saturday classes will be both sessions with a break in between. Please refer to the syllabus for our schedule.

Parental Guidance
We will use Nearpod for reading and writing classes, Desmos for math, and Google forms for exit tickets. Nearpod and Google forms do not require that the student has an account. Desmos requires the student to make a free account.
