This class will primarily be taught through lecture with PowerPoint slides with opportunities for students to ask questions and engage in discussion. Discussions will include how to begin your college search, standardized testing, effective planning, and organization. Students will not need any prior knowledge on this subject in order to take the course. The course structure is outlined below: Introduction and Welcome (5 minutes) Ten Tips for the College Application Process (25 minutes) Q&A/Discussion (10 minutes)
Learning Goals
This course is designed to give a quick overview of the college application process and the best practices for approaching this process. Students will leave this class with a clear understanding of the steps they need to take to be organized when starting their college search. This course is geared towards high school students who are applying to both 2 year and 4 year institutions, however those who are still undecided are welcome.

Parental Guidance
I understand the college application process can be very sensitive and personal so students will not be required to share any personal information with the entire class. If a student has a specific question, they are always allowed to use the private chat button or submit the question through their written exercise response.
Supply List
Students will not need to purchase any additional materials other than what is needed to take notes and participated through Zoom.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
