This fun & exciting Science Preparatory Camp takes a modified, thematic approach to 3rd Grade Science. The students will be introduced to the major themes in 3rd grade science. This camp will provide your rising 3rd grader with a head start in the upcoming school year. In addition, these concepts will also better equip your child when they take their state test this year. Students will be introduced to major 3rd grade science concepts. After a very challenging year, they will build up their confidence. The students will be able to apply what they learn when taking their state assessment. The students will improve their understanding of the world around them.
I am a 23-year licensed Instructor. I have been privileged to instruct thousands of students. 96% of my engaged students are successful on state assessments. I hold a Science Degree in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry. Currently, In addition, I have a Master’s in Instructional Technology pending with a 4.00 GPA. I have taught all science courses from grade Kindergarten to post-graduate courses to include Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, AP Biology, Microbiology, Human Anatomy & Physiology, Physical Science, Environmental Science and many others.
Homework Offered
The students will have homework after each class. They will be asked recall and open-ended questions where they will have to apply what they learned to correctly answer the question. I ask that the students review what was what they learned every day. Optional: I ask that the students dedicate 15 minutes of study time each day.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
The students will be assessed as they engage in discussions and as they interact in a question-answer session at the end of class. This will guide my instruction. I will review what the students need.Grades Offered
