Homework
1-2 hours per week. Homework is not truly given; students will simply implement learned skills from our first week's meeting and will reflect and discuss on how it went.
Grading
Students will receive feedback on their implementation of skills

Class Experience

In this 8 week course, students will learn a variety of effective and efficient success skills that will help students become more in control of their learning, more confident in their abilities as students, and that will help them feel better prepared for exams.

Class meets two times a week. On the first day of the week, students will learn a new skill and new concepts for that skill. On the second day of the week, students will discuss their implementation of that skill and/or will engage in reflection/conversation of that skill. The goal is that between the two class meetings, students implement the skill to enhance their learning.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their time management skills.
Students will learn how to effective and efficient notes that will be used for studying and to aid in memory.

Lesson 1:
Effective Time Management Tools and Strategies
 Taking control of your time, being more productive, and reducing procrastination.

Application of Time Management Tools
 Discuss how you implemented these tools and what worked/what did not

Five Note-Taking Styles for Enhanced Learning and Memory
 Students will learn about five different types of note-taking systems and how to use them

Implement One Note-Taking Style
