Abrsm Music Theory in Practice: Grade 1 (Self-Paced)
In this 7-week series of online, pre-recorded video flex classes, students will learn about a variety of topics in music theory, such as pitch and tempo; these online music classes also contain a general focus on teaching melodic, harmonic, and rhythmic dictation, with a narrowed focus on topics such as time values, bar-lines and time signatures, rests, ties, and dots, all taught in preparation for the ABRSM Grade 1 exam by the Music & Language Learning Center by Kristine Dizon.
Class experience
Students will learn through lectures, readings, exercises, and listening assignments provided by the teacher. Students may email the instructor if there are any questions. The class time is structured according to the following topics as outlined in the ABRSM. This section is designed for the young learner's pace.
