Class Experience

Students will view a PowerPoint Presentation about artist Roy Lichtenstein. I will teach them what Pop-Art is. We will look at many pieces of Roy Lichtenstein's Pop-Art and discuss how Pop Artists were trying to change the way people thought about art. Many artists of the past thought art should be complicated and fancy and follow certain rules, but this meant that not as many people could connect with art and enjoy it. Pop Artists wanted to make art that every person could recognize instantly and engage with. Students will love the bright, fun "Poppy" art of Roy Lichtenstein. After the slideshow, I will direct the students to make their own Pop-Art.

I AM CURRENTLY TAKING A BREAK FROM OUTSCHOOL TO GO BACK INTO THE CLASSROOM. I WILL BE BACK!!!!!! PLEASE MESSAGE ME IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR CLASSES AND I WILL LET YOU KNOW WHEN I RETURN
Hello. I have been an art teach for 7 years as an employee of Art Masters Legacy. I teach a one hour lesson in the classroom to students in TK - 6th grade and special needs students. I attended college to become a teacher. I did not become a teacher right after college. I worked as an event planner and began teaching when my children were in elementary school. I absolutely love what I do. I call it my jobby. Art is my hobby and teaching it to students is my job. I draw like a child. I think it inspires the students and makes it obtainable for them! I am relateable. I make the lesson fun while breaking it down into very simple steps. I have been told by many teachers that I a have amazing classroom control.
