ABC's and Math?! - Intro to Algebraic Expressions

In this class, we will learn what variables and constants are and how to use them in math.  We will learn that letters are not to be feared when mixed with numbers, but are simply puzzles to put together.  We have to play by the rules in order to put the puzzle together, so we will learn the rules and how to make them work for us.  In this class, we will learn how to handle variables and constants as well as how to manipulate the equations to solve them.  This class will be great as a review or an introduction to algebraic equations.  Below is the list of what each class will cover.  

Class 1: Variables and expressions
Class 2: Writing expressions and equations
Class 3: Solving equations
Class 4: Solving two step equations

I will provide all necessary worksheets for the class.  Homework will include finishing the worksheets from class to practice what we learned.  I can provide you a "chapter test" to administer after the class is over.
