Learn about the English Alphabet with Teacher Liz! Become an ABC Hero! What is an ABC Hero? This is a student who can recite the alphabet from memory! This is a student who is learning to read challenging text with little fear or hesitation! This is a student who can tell others about the ABC through song, dance, and theater! Over this ongoing course, we meet twice weekly for 30 minute sessions. These courses are highly interactive. Everyone is encouraged to participate with cameras and microphones on. Singing and dancing is optional. Class Structure: Week 1 - Writing Names, Alphabet Workout, Capitalization, ABC Bingo Week 2 - Capital Captain, Letter Guess, Bubble Letters, Alphabet Fashion Week 3 - Alphabet Soup, Recipe for Me, Crayon Letters, CVC Blend Dots Week 4 - ABC Bodies, Alphabetical Lists, Thank You Notes Week 5 - CVC Blend Dots, Alphabet Shmalfabet, Animal Font, Newspaper Hunt Week 6 - Alphabet History, Vowel Song, Flippy Dolphin, Sound Blending

Students will say, read, and write the letters of the English alphabet.

Growing up I was quick to tell stories with puppets, toys, siblings, music, and comedy. As an adult I have found a way to combine all this fun by being a remote, online teacher! My classes are joyous, interactive, expressive, and energetic.
My specialties lie in public speaking, singing, performance, music, ESL, and literacy. I have four years experience as an elementary school classroom teacher. I am currently a music coach and lead singer of a Portland, Oregon-based Blondie tribute band, Glass of Hearts. I acquired my Masters Degree of Education from Portland State University. I am an active and enthusiastic member of the Portland Reading Council & the Oregon State Literacy Association.
