The main goal for this class is language learning! The addition of art is to help learners learn a new language in a fun way. However, learners shouldn't get too caught up in painting perfectly! I will be speaking in English and translating into Spanish this way learners are exposed to English as we create.
I'm fluent in Spanish and English. I love creating and teaching art classes to learners of all ages! I speak Spanish from Mexico. I speak English from USA. I understand the difficulties and the fear that comes with speaking a new language since English is my second language and I'm currently learning a third language.
Watercolor, crayons, pens, markers, paper, pencils, we will go over materials the first day of class
In some cases we will be using resources like Blooket (blue-kit) or Kahoot to help learners build vocabulary or check comprehension.
