Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello friends! I am a certified Spanish/ESOL teacher and I am very excited to have the privilege of teaching on this platform. I am a mother of five boys and I enjoy spending time with my family. I have 20 years of teaching experience and I absolutely LOVE working with students. I obtained BA in Spanish with a minor in Early Childhood Education, an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership, and an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of South Carolina. I also obtained a second M.Ed. from Southern Wesleyan University. I have done various studies on how children learn language. I found that students learn best and have a higher retention rate when they have an opportunity to use visual, physical, and verbal modalities simultaneously. Students enjoy learning when they are engaged and enjoying the learning process. As a result, I strive to create exciting classes that are educational and fun. I hope to see you in the classroom. 😀
