Class Experience

Students will get a brief scientific overview of body and hormonal changes that occur during puberty in both boys and girls. PowerPoint with appropriate scientific diagrams (professional drawings of male and female genitals) will be used along with lecture. Students may ask questions but open discussion is not a part of this class. Students do not have to answer questions or do anything that makes them uncomfortable. Listening to and absorbing the information provided in class is all the student needs to do to be successful. This class is coed. This class ONLY covers body and hormonal changes occurring during puberty, NO sex education is covered in this class. Since open discussion is not a part of the class, the class ends with students being encouraged to ask their grown up a question about something discussed in the class to foster healthy discussions.
