Teacher expertise and credentials
Master's Degree in Education from Indiana University
I LOVE reading! and reading to and with others, especially children. As a Principal and educator of 50+ years, I always read in my classroom, as Tutor, volunteer teacher around the world and as a Principal to large and small groups of students at a time. Additionally, I was trained via classes at the Los Angeles Music Center on story telling methods. Who doesn't like a good story or good book?
My love for reading began as a little girl, one who always had a book in her hand and even read under the covers at night when the lights were supposed to be out and me sleeping. As a precocious reader myself, I understand reading a good adventure story and being able to discuss and share it with friends.
I also enjoy writing and teaching young learners the elements of writing, especially a good story. I have secretly written poems, songs and a few stories of my own.
I love reading a good book any time, all the time and hope my enthusiasm rubs off on each young learner who enrolls with me in this somewhat unique "A Fantasy Adventure Book Series Club for Kids" where learners don't just read, but read, write, discuss and present --- the complete Book Club.
