Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 7
Creativity writing has been a passion of mine since I was a child. As I grew older, I published a book and passed on my passion for writing to my students. Some of my students are currently working to publish their first chapter books. My goal for this class is to continue to pass on the passion of writing to students.

Class Structure (Class will be split into 3 sections)
1. Students will spend this section of class learning how to create a story outline. Some of this time will be spent creating the outline for their creative story.
2. Writing their story
3. Time will be given for students who wish to share their short story.

How to prepare for the class.
1. Print off and bring to class the outline worksheet provided in the classroom.
2. Have your learner bring to class one item that they love or find weird.
3. Bring to class a pencil and paper or have use of a text document software like google docs, notepad, or WORD.

What should you know before taking this class?
Learners should be proficient in writing sentences.

Hello! My name is Mrs. JaLes and I am dedicated to proving that learning is effective when kids have the freedom to explore. What do I mean by this? From a early age our kids are learning everything from exploring (touching, engaging, inquiring, investigating, practicing, reassessing, and finally conquering). Then they start school and we add structure and try to make them fit in a box. As a homeschool educator, I challenge my students to live out of the box and achieve greatness by mastering skills based on their learning style and interests. It's truly amazing the facts my kids recall without ever working on memorization and how much improvement in their critical thinking skills I've seen in such a short time.

These are the classes I want to explore with your children!
* Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, & Division Workshops
 * Writing Workshops
 * Reading Skills
 * Master Phonograms
*Spelling

I am currently a homeschool teacher for 2nd/3rd and 7th grader. I earned my Bachelor's of Science Degree from Oral Roberts University. Professionally, I have worked as an corporate trainer and process developer. As you can see, I enjoy teaching others.

I am a ball of eclectic fun. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling and vlogging my experience. Overall, I just enjoy living and learning as much as I can. I am excited to meet you and hope to see you in the classroom soon.
