US Grade 8 - 10
Is your teen struggling with ELA? Avoiding writing assignments? Failing test essays?

I am here to help!

This six-week course is designed to help students learn to overcome the stress, anxiety, and frustration that comes with responding to reading excerpts and writing school essays. Students will complete weekly in-class writing assignments, one rough draft essay, and one final draft essay.

Students will learn how to analyze a literature excerpt, write detailed paragraphs, construct strong thesis statements, hook readers with compelling introductions, and compose effective conclusions.

Students will also learn my secrets to passing the test essay and how to overcome "Blank Page Stress." More importantly, this class will help your young scholar learn how to write and communicate confidently.

This course covers grammar, style, and proper MLA formatting, ensuring that students not only write clearly but also present their work professionally. In addition to core writing skills, the course emphasizes comprehension and analysis skills.

Mr. Conway will provide personalized feedback on all finished final draft essays. Letter grades in the class and on the final draft are available upon request.
