Welcome to our eighth grade math class! In this class, we will be covering a wide range of topics such as algebra, geometry, statistics, and problem-solving in math. This class will help your learner prepare for high school math.

During the final week of the term, students have the opportunity to review previous topics and receive additional support or clarification as needed. Teachers provide review activities, practice problems, and individualized assistance to ensure that students have a solid grasp of the concepts covered throughout the course before moving on to the next grade level.
In 8th grade mathematics class, learners will have the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts and build upon the skills they have acquired in previous years. The following are some learner goals for 8th grade mathematics class:

1. Master algebraic concepts: Learners will be able to solve linear equations and inequalities, and apply algebraic concepts to real-world problems.
2. Develop problem-solving skills: Learners will be able to apply mathematical reasoning to solve complex problems, both independently and in groups.
3. Enhance critical thinking skills: Learners will be able to analyze and interpret data, construct and evaluate arguments, and make informed decisions based on mathematical reasoning.
4. Explore geometry and spatial reasoning: Learners will be able to use geometric concepts to solve problems in 2D and 3D space, and develop an understanding of the relationships between shapes and figures.
5. Strengthen quantitative literacy: Learners will be able to interpret and use numerical data to make informed decisions and solve real-world problems.
6. Develop computational fluency: Learners will be able to perform arithmetic operations efficiently and accurately, and use technology to facilitate problem-solving. 

Overall, learners in 8th grade mathematics class will develop a strong foundation in mathematical concepts and skills that will prepare them for success in high school and beyond.
For over three years, I have been involved in teaching mathematics and providing tutoring services. As a mathematics teacher, I have a deep understanding of various mathematical concepts and their applications. I specialize in algebra, geometry, calculus, and have a strong ability to explain complex mathematical theories in easy-to-understand  terms. I have experience utilizing different teaching methods to cater to students of varying skills and learning styles. Additionally, I am proficient in using various software and tools to enhance the learning experience such as graphing calculus and online educational resources. I am passionate about mathematics and committed to helping my students achieve their academic goals. 
Homework Offered
Homework is assigned every week in either the form of a PDF worksheet or a Khan Academy assignment. If the homework is in PDF form, learners can submit it to me as an attachment through messages in the form of an image, scan, PDF, or DOC.
2 - 4 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
To receive a letter grade or a letter of completion, learners are required to complete all assignments, participate in class, and take a cumulative course review test.
