We will go over the new topic and the vocabulary together, and then work on creating our sentences together in speaking and in writing. If you are not yet comfortable with all of hiragana, no worries, we will go over the words with romaji to help you out. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: How will you teach? ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: On zoom through Outschool platform. External resources such as Quizlet for vocabulary decks, and Gimkit for reviews. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: What's your teaching style? ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Easy-going, but perhaps because of the subject I teach, most students are really respectful, which I truly appreciate. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: How much will learners get to interact with you and each other (mention specifics like: lecture, games, slides, video clips, discussion)? ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Learning a foreign language is all about interaction!! There will be interactive class activities for informal assessments. Pair activities/assignments are designed to develop each student's 21st century skills such as collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking. If you are a home school student who is looking for a formal assignment grades, I will be happy to work with you (but I need to know what is expected). ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Any required experience or knowledge learners need? ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Having taken 8 Weeks of Japanese 1_01 will be helpful, but if you have previously studied Japanese, please send me a message. I will need to know what you learned previously and how comfortable you are with hiragana before we can start on this class.

Please note that the game portion of the class requires the student to click on a link from Gimkit which I will provide in the class for the students to participate. It is an approved third party learning tool.
Quizlet is a website that allows for students and educators to make and use digital flashcards. I offer students to study vocabulary outside of class by accessing Quizlet cards that I have created specific to my classes. Students will need to provide their username on Quizlet account to have access to all of my flashcards.
