8 Week Electric Bass Groove Course
In this 8 week course, students will learn how to groove on the electric bass. We will begin with learning the fundamentals of having good rhythm and learn to create a great sound from our instruments.

In this 8 week groove bass course students will get a better understanding of how the bass functions with a band, as well they be able to experience and play basslines themselves. A few of the topics we will cover are learning some famous basslines, how to play along with a drum machines, and learning to slap and pop. My course is structured so that students will build upon what they have learned in the previous class. I teach in a way that is fun and engaging. I encourage classroom participation mainly by playing your bass. Learners will be able to engage by playing along with music, drum machines, and eventually being able to demonstrate their ability to create a bassline.
Learning Goals
Students will get a solid understanding of how the bass grooves and learn how to do it themselves too.Students will learn new techniques such as slapping and popping, and learning to program a drum machine so they can play along with it.

Learning the Bass-ics
Learning about simple rhythms on the bass. No understanding of how to read music is required. Applying how to use these rhythms in real songs. 45 mins online live lesson
Lesson 2:
Listening to Basslines
We will look at some famous but not difficult basslines and then try to recreate these basslines ourselves. 45 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:
Playing with Drums
In this lesson we will focus on how a bass player will play along with a drummer. Then we will spend some time playing along ourselves with a drum machine. 45 mins online live lesson
Lesson 4:
Learning More Basslines
We will check-out some more basslines in this lesson and try to play them ourselves. 45 mins online live lesson
