US Grade 6
Welcome to 6th Grade Math! In this 8 week class, we will learn skills taught in 3rd quarter of 6th grade math. Students will learn through lecture and practice. Students are able to show their work on the screen or by using paper and pencil or a white board and marker. Students will be encouraged to explain how they got their answers and "teach" the steps used to solve problems. Students get opportunities to ask questions and solve problems with help and on their own.
Learning Goals
Students will learn decimal operations. They will be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimals.Students will learn about coordinate planes. They will be able to plot points on a coordinate plane and write ordinate pairs.

Factors and Multiples
In this lesson, we will start by reviewing exponents. We will then practice prime factorization, greatest common factor, and factoring expressions. 40 mins online live lesson
Lesson 2:
Multi-Digit Division
We will work on multi-digit division with and without remainders. We will also work on division with decimals and word problems involving division. 40 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:
Decimal Operations
We will start by reviewing division with decimals and then move on to adding and subtracting decimals. We will also work on word problems involving decimals. 40 mins online live lesson
Lesson 4:
Multiplying and Dividing Fractions
We will review multiplying decimals and then move on to multiplying and dividing fractions. 40 mins online live lesson

Students will need a paper and pencil for each class or a white board and marker.
