Homework
1-2 hours per week. Students can expect homework assignments ranging from warm up exercises to practice through the week to memorizing song lyrics. The most dedicated students will practice their material 5 days a week for approximately 20-45 minutes each time.Assessment
Learner progress will be co-assessed by both the instructor and the student, as it is the teacherβs goal for the student to reach the goals that are most important to them.Class Experience
Students will build singing expertise through exercises, technique development, and specific song assignments. Lessons are one-on-one and students will get unparalleled focused attention for the duration of class. Every lesson will start with a warm up before transitioning into technique exercises and working on specific songs. Topics covered are 100% built around the studentβs specific needs and requests. ***All one on one class will be automatically ended if the student does not show up within the first ten minutes of class. Be respectful: be on time π
Learning Goals
Students will gain ease and expertise in their voice: not just their singing voice, but also their speaking voice! Students will gain self confidence, self-trust, and tools that will build their technical and artistic self presentation. Depending on interest, students can also learn music theory and sight singing skills. Memorization skills and presentations skills will also be taught. Remember, though, that list is completely subjective to the desires/needs of the students, as Heidi is highly skilled at adapting to her students.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Heidi has a Masters of Music degree in Voice Performance and 10+ years teaching voice to individuals and groups. She has been auditioning and performing regularly in NYC for the last two years, and has been performing in lead singing roles since she was 5 years old! She gets excited helping students reach their vocal goals, and she has successfully taught students to sing with high levels of confidence and expression. Unlike teachers in educational institutions, Heidi is not held to school curriculum at Outschool and can therefore move at the exact pace needed by her students.
