Class Experience

In this on-going class your learner will enjoy learning some basics in face and body (arms, hands) painting. Class starts with friendly greetings and an assessment of what the learner knows and would like to learn.
Each week will focus on a particular idea or skill, and we will make something fun!
The teacher will demonstrate designs that may be done on the face, hand, or practice mat. Teacher will also draw on paper to continually show students how to create the design. The learner will be encouraged to practice on their own.
The learner will learn how to active paint, load brushes, create a design step by step and how to care for supplies.
Along with the basics of each design the teacher will share techniques, tips and tricks for making the design pop! The learner is encouraged to share their work. The learner will also be encouraged to be proud of their own work!

***Parents, please note that while face paints are designed to be used on the skin, there is still a chance for potential allergens and reactions. Please consider this when buying and using products. Snazaroo is a good brand for sensitive skin. Never the less, testing on a small product on a small area of the arm before using on face or large area.

Supply List
Here is a list of supplies with links to amazon:
~~~Face paints~~~
paints need to be water based!
can be purchased on-line or at many retail and craft stores (Michaels). Students should have a white and a black paint along with basic colors such as red, blue, yellow. One option is Kraze Regular Palette. Snazaroo is a good brand for sensitive skin. (I’ve never had a problem with the FX or Fusion I use).
~~~Split cakes~~~Highly recommend!
Split cakes are so fun to use! They are basically a set with multiple colors in the same pan. Choose a split cake with colors you like! Dozens of options: https://a.co/d/i0xYf7D

~~~Brushes~~~
students need to have at least 1 round brush, but a set of varying brushes is best. An inexpensive set on Amazon is: https://a.co/d/eE26bG2
~~~Sponge~~~
most sponges work well

~~~stencils and finger daubers:~~~
Stencils are very useful and there are endless options, daubers are not necessary, just a little easier to use
