Equations! Together we will learn how to solve these simple puzzles by starting with basic terminology. When you understand the language you can understand the problem. Then using the terms we've learned we will start to look at equations and why they may or may not be true. From there students will learn how to solve equations given a replacement set and determine whether the values in the set are true or false. First working through problems together, students will then have the opportunity to work through problems independently so that we can review and discuss them together and finish with question and answer time. Students should have an introductory understanding of what variables and coefficients are before coming to this class as covered in the first course in this series.
