In this ongoing course, students will practice a new spelling/phonics pattern each week to strengthen their reading, writing and vocabulary skills. This class will meet 1 day a week. During the live meeting, students will learn the new spelling/phonics pattern of the week as well as the meanings and how to use each word. Students will be given extra practice and a reading passage that uses the new spelling words. If you would like your child to take a spelling/phonics test, I will send that through Google Forms. I am providing a list of the skills that will be covered in this class by week. Learning Goals
R.F.3.A- Students will use combined knowledge of all letter-sound correspondences, syllabication patterns, and morphology (e.g., roots and affixes) to read accurately unfamiliar multisyllabic words in context and out of context.

Parental Guidance
I will use websites like Room Recess, Education.com, and Kahoot for spelling/phonics games and practice.
Nearpod will be used for reinforcing lessons like prefixes and suffixes.
Google Forms will be used to assess the students spelling/phonics skills.
Supply List
The learner will need to print out weekly materials that will be sent in advance of the class.
