Welcome to the exciting world of fifth grade math! Our engaging series of four classes (Fall, Winter I, Winter II, and Spring) offers a comprehensive math experience for your student. Whether used as the main math course for the year or as a supplement to another class or curriculum, this program is designed to foster a deep understanding of math concepts. Students will be able to create and interpret graphs. Students will be able to find and compare ratios. Students will be able to find rates. Students will be able to express percentages as fractions and as decimals. Students will be able to explain and effectively communicate their thought process. Homework Offered
If they are not able to finish their work in class, students should have no more than 15 minutes of additional work time out of class.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Students will be assessed informally on an ongoing basis. At the end of each chapter, a formal test or hands- on project will be given to monitor student progress.Grades Offered
A formal letter grade can be provided upon request at the beginning of the course.
Most materials will be included in the price of the course. Students will additionally need to print out tests at the end of each chapter to be completed in class.
We will utilize Singapore Math 5B curriculum.
