Class Experience

In this class students will learn how to solve word problems where they multiply and divide fractions and mixed numbers. Students will also learn how to write algebraic expressions in this quarter! We will also be reviewing topics from quarter one throughout this class!
I taught fifth and sixth grade math in North Carolina for eight years before deciding to stay home with my three girls.
I will send about 10 homework problems following each live meeting to be completed the following day by students.
Math notebook, pencil, a whiteboard, any PDFs that I post throughout the quarter.
I will informally assess students throughout the quarter through questions , homework, conversations, and games! There will be a test sent at the end of the quarter to help further a assess student knowledge.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Students should have successfully completed a fourth grade curriculum before signing up for this class. It is also helpful if they have completed quarter one of my year-long class, however it is not necessary.
