5th Grade Math Curriculum (Begins in January 2025) (Weekly Class, Twice a Week)

I love teaching math! In this class, students will learn fifth grade math skills! This class meets twice a week, and automatically re-enrolls each week!

I teach in a patient and engaging manner, so students will feel comfortable learning!

Week of January 13: Read numbers aloud and describe their place value 
Week of January 20: Illustrate numbers with models 
Week of January 27:  Multiply and divide numbers within 100
Week of February 3:  Solve questions with order of operations and parenthesis 
Week of February 10: Divide numbers within 1,000
Week of February 17: Multiply numbers within 1,000
Week of February 24: Add and subtract with decimals, explain decimal place values
Week of March 3: Multiply with decimals
Week of March 10: Divide with decimals   
Week of March 17: Add and subtract fractions 
Week of March 24: Divide fractions   
Week of March 31: Multiply fractions
Week of April 7: Convert measurements within a measurement system
Week of April 14: Read and Write data into graphs
Week of April 21: Spring Break
Week  of April 28: Review area and perimeter  
Week of May 5: Find volume of three dimensional shapes
Week of May 12: Graph points on a coordinate plane 
Week of May 19: Describe two dimensional figures
Week of May 26: Review 
Week of June 1: Review
