Description

Class Experience

Students will learn to understand the place value system. Students will also perform operations with multi-digit whole numbers and with decimals to hundredths.
I will provide 5-10 example problems for homework after each class. This is voluntary and will be reviewed at the beginning of the next class. If a student is struggling, they can post their concerns on the classroom wall for more clarification. Homework should not take more than 10 minutes per assignment.
Students should have a math journal to keep their notes in and solve example problems. A printer would be beneficial for notes, but is not required.
I will assess students in class based on their participation and homework (if they do their homework). Students will also have occasional quizzes. I can also provide a progress report at the end of the course. Please let me know if you would like a letter grade for this class.
1 hour 50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
