- We will explore the growing friendship between Jesse and Leslie and how their imagination develops

Chapters 6-8: Conflict and Resolution
- We will explore the various conflicts arising, character struggles, and how characters respond to conflicts

- We will discuss the theme of friendship and the impact of grief

What Would You Do?
- text summary and a "what would you do" game where students will be put into various situations from the book and discuss what they would do
Students will improve their comprehension, analysis, and paragraph response skills.
Homework Offered
Students will have weekly paragraph responses (optional) that they can submit between classes. Each paragraph response will be based on the discussion and readings from the previous class.
1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Informative writing assignments will be offered between each class. Each assignment will be a paragraph response about what they read that week. I will give individualized feedback.
