Teacher expertise and credentials
Texas Teaching Certificate in Music/Theater/Arts
Bachelor's Degree in Education from University of North Texas
As a band director for ten years, teaching in the public school setting as well as teaching individual private lessons, I have gained a varied skill set and a love of all things music and band, especially middle school-age students. I graduated in 2000 from the University of North Texas and have had many years of professional development and practice as both an assistant band director and head band director in the public school setting. I had the opportunity to work with many middle schoolers in an advisory/home-room class situation and enjoy encouraging discussion and spurring middle schoolers into action and building habits. I have since left teaching to pursue teaching as a homeschool educator of my own children. As a YouTube content creator, I have learned how to create and edit videos and create videos based on a variety of classes.
