1 hour per week. Students will receive an assignment in class that we will begin working on after the lesson. If students do not complete the assignment, they will be required to complete it after class.Assessment
We will have pre-tests and post-tests before and after each unit to see where students are at so lessons can be differentiated as needed. They will receive a progress report every other week and a report card every 9 weeks to show growth. The progress reports and report cards will have letter grades on them. If your child continues with me throughout the courses that I have, their grades will build upon each other.Grading

This course will cover the 4th Grade Math Common Core Standards. The following topics will be covered during this part of the course.: Unit 7: Measurement Week 1: Metric Prefixes, Convert Metric Units of Liquid Volume, Convert Metric Units of Mass, Word Problems Week 2: Convert Units of Time, Make Line Plots, Elapsed Time, Convert Customary Units of Length Week 3: Fractional Divisions of Customary Units of Length, Convert Customary Units of Weight, Convert Customary Units of Liquid Volume, Word Problems Week 4: Investigate Units for Perimeter and Area, Calculate Perimeter & Area, Measurement Problems, Perimeter & Area Problems Week 5: Unit 7 Review & Test, Review Addition Week 6: Review Subtraction, Review Estimation & Rounding, Review Multiplication Week 7: Review Division, Review Subtraction Operations Week 8: Review Decimals, Review Angles, Review Polygons, Review Measurement Students who are already taking 4th Grade math can enroll for additional support and practice. Homeschooled students can enroll for a complete 4th Grade math curriculum. Daily Lessons Include: Entry Ticket: Students will work on prior learned concepts while students are joining. Lesson: Students will participate in the interactive math lesson. Exit Ticket: Students will complete an exit ticket to show their understanding of the lesson. Homework: Students will be given a homework assignment to practice the new skill. These math lessons will integrate real-world and engaging topics. Students will be using Nearpod, an interactive platform throughout the live lessons. Students will be provided with several different options for homework every week which include visual, real-world, and concrete assignments.
Learning Goals
Students will learn measurement skills and review all other topics from the year-long course.

Supply List
The teacher will supply interactive notebook activities, assessments, and other curriculum materials each week. Students will need a spiral notebook, scissors, glue, paper, and pencil.
