In this exciting and interactive class, students will solve a variety of tasks to uncover clues and find the hidden key to "unlock the door" and help a classmate escape! Each solved task reveals a letter that is part of the final clue, encouraging teamwork and problem-solving. What Will Be Taught: Students will practice key math skills, including: -Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division -Recognizing patterns and sequences -Solving problems with multiples and decimals -Critical thinking and logical reasoning Class Topics Covered: The class combines math concepts, teamwork, and fun challenges, focusing on applying math in creative ways to solve puzzles. Class Structure and Teaching Approach: -Opening Activity: We’ll start by taking attendance and discussing as a group which escape game to play. -Class Rules: -Be respectful to classmates. -Pay attention and avoid interrupting others. -Use the chat feature for quiet collaboration during discussions. -Problem-Solving: Students will work together to solve tasks. Those who wish to volunteer answers can do so via the Zoom chat or by raising their hand. -Encouragement: To ensure everyone participates, I may call on quieter students to share their thoughts. If a student struggles with an answer, I’ll guide and support them to help build confidence. Interaction: Students will collaborate to solve puzzles, share ideas, and celebrate successes. This class fosters a fun, supportive environment where everyone is encouraged to participate and learn while enjoying a St. Patrick’s Day-themed challenge!

Hello! My name is Tracy. I have been a licensed teacher for 6 years, teaching in both the public and private schools. Before that I was a daycare teacher and substitute teacher. I enjoy teaching math, reading, and science at the Elementary level and Science based classes at the secondary level. Aside from core subjects I enjoy art, music, cooking, and gardening. One fun fact about me is I am starting a farm, so be on the lookout for some of my animals!
