Class Experience
In this 4 week FLEX course, students will follow along with me as I teach them how to draw 4 different princesses using a video that will be available in the classroom each Monday morning. Each video lesson is recorded by me personally and will include step-by-step instructions on how to draw and color the princesses. For this course, we will draw Cinderella, Ariel, Rapunzel and Snow White. Students will develop their artistic skills and ability to follow directions during these fun art classes! Students will share their drawings with the me and the other learners by posting pictures or videos of their artwork. As in all FLEX courses, students will be required to post their finished drawings each week AND leave comments on the work of the other students. They will need to leave at least 2 positive comments for their classmates each week. These kinds of positive comments often to lead to further student interaction and encouragement! I will also be offering lots of feedback, suggestions and comments for each student throughout the week!

Paper, pencil, eraser, coloring utensils of any sort (crayons, colored pencils, markers, paint, etc.)

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Howdy! I am an art teacher from Texas and I love all things creative!! I have been involved in the fine arts since I was very young and started my professional career as a graphic artist at a marketing company when I was just 20 years old. Since then, I received my Associates degree in Graphic Design and my Bachelor's in Art Education. I have had the opportunities to be a designer, photographer, private art tutor, art camp leader and high school art teacher throughout the years. On a personal level, my favorite artistic avenues are painting and design. I recently started painting on canvas shoes for my friends and family and absolutely love it. I hope to create a class to teach how to do that, along with many other creative classes! I think all children need a creative outlet in their lives, even if they don't feel like they are particularly "artsy". I hope to encourage my students, teach them something new and spark a new generation of art lovers!
