Welcome to an enriching 3rd & 4th-grade reading and writing class where students will master all of the core skills from a typical semester. In the first class, we will have an introduction to the class with a short fable. Then, students will need their own copy of "A Wrinkle in Time" to read the assigned chapters outside of class. Each week students will be assigned a 2-3 chapters along with a packet that aids reading comprehension. Once the book is finished, the teacher will guide students to complete a book report. Finally, in the last week, students will get to explore their creativity by writing a narrative based on the book such as a journal entry from a character, an alternate ending, or a sequel.
